I have oily skin, which means I am constantly struggling to not look shiny. I recently went into Lush after doing some research into the best products for my skin, and with the help of a very knowledgeable salesperson, I made some very successful purchases.
It’s important to exfoliate regularly. I try to do it about once a week to get rid of dead skin cell buildup, but not to rub my skin raw. This exfoliant is great because it’s so gentle on your skin. Some exfoliants I feel like are too rough or harsh, but the lavender in this aids and prevents any redness or inflammation. A little goes a long way too, because you just take a pinch and rub it into a paste in your palm with a bit of water and then rub that on your face (or wherever you want to use it).
Toner water is a great way to even out your skin tone and to clear and prevent blemishes in a gentle way. The ingredients in this make my skin feel refreshed and not dried out.
This stuff is advertised as a “mattifying fruit moisturizer” and that is exactly what it is. It’s honestly amazing. Like I said, I almost always have shine that I’m trying to minimize with powders and oil blotting papers, but with this moisturizer, I don’t even need that stuff (though I still use it). My skin has never been so un-oily as it is when I use this product, but I don’t feel like I’m clogging my pores or doing anything bad for my skin at all. It just feels great.
